ya'll are crazy. im all for crime stopper tips and ratting the thugs out, but chasing them? please. a friend got jacked and both of us ran after the perp, the guy stopped pulled a knife and stabbed my friend. nothing too serious, but definetly taught me a lesson. spray paint and a wallet definetly aint worth my life. i will call the cops but thats about it. none if this junior deputy heroics.

one thing i do do is talk to all the kids in the neighbor hood and talk to them about respect and tell them that they live in a bubble. people aint gunna respect you unless you got some smarts. you need smarts. i encourage all of them, including my family kids that sports are very positive. i tell them that it is better to walk away and deal with a lil shame than something worse.

life is too short. i teach them respect and the harsh reality of this world. its bigger than the thugs kicking it outside the liqour store. make it thru and it will be ok. i set the example and hoefully they follow

It's very rare to find a gang member from a two parent family. Boys being raised by single mothers don't always turn out badly, but there is a much higher risk of them turning out badly than kids raised by a parent of the same sex. It's usually better for kids to have two parents raising them than one.

Also I tend to report the homeless venturing into my area - fortunately the Culver City PD (unlike certain others) takes these things seriously and Culver City is decidedly unfriendly to the homeless, which keeps the crime rate down. The last guy I reported had warrants for all sorts of ****.

Crime flourishes when and where people do not want to become involved... at least that is my experience!
