Hi everyone

We're a family of 4 coming over from England in August and are hiring a house in LA. Long shot, but does anyone know of or own a ping pong table that we could hire for the last two weeks

Thanks in advance

Just to clarify, when you say "hire" do you mean "rent" - as in paying for the temporary use of someone else's property?

If so, then unless you "hire" a house or ping pong table from a British ex-pat, no one in L.A. will know what you are talking about.

Apologies for the confusion. I would like to rent a table tennis table for two weeks to be transported to the property we're renting. Just on the off chance someone has one lying around not being used and would like to earn a bit of unexpected money on.

They are hiring a house and they want to hire a ping pong table, it is not rocket science, they mean rent. THELOPEZ2 figured out that hire means rent and thelopez2 is from LA too. Harrier must have a very low impression of people born and raised in Los Angeles.

Ping Pong tables are common, the transportation is the difficult part. Do you already know exactly where you will be staying in LA? You can probably find someone within a block and push it home. You can search craigslist for "ping pong" and "table tennis" or put a wanted with deliver ad like this guy ** WANTED** Outdoor Ping Pong Table ..w/Delivery ** WANTED ** , and sell it when you are done.

haha...but what if you scuff it up?

I would have suggested, buy an inexpensive used one on craigslist, then put it back on craigslist for even cheaper before you leave.

I have a suggestion for you. It's called Craig's List. (Google that.) Among other things it has sections for buying, selling, etc.

My advice is to search for inexpensive ping pong tables for sale. I think it quite likely you may find a very inexpensive one and simply purchase it. You can rent a truck at Home Depot (home improvement store) for something like $25/hour and haul it to your hired house. When you go home, leave it behind or resell it on Craig's list or just list it for free and leave it in the driveway.

Bring your own paddles, balls, net and any other essentials.

Oh, I've assumed by table tennis you mean ping pong. We Americans have such odd names for things.

here you go

Ping Pong Table (Table Tennis) w/ Rackets

probably costs the same as a 'hire' would with delivery fees
