Hello,
I am new to the area and looking at an apartment around 10th and Wilshire but it does not come with a parking spot and the landlord said there is plenty of street parking available. Does anyone know if this is actually true? I do not want to be looking for parking everynight and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I assume you mean Santa Monica...?

Those streets are limited by permit for residents of the area so the landlord could be right but I'll let Santa Monica/Westside experts answer that for sure.

"Plenty" of street parking is a stretch. It is true the area is restricted permit parking after 6 pm, but even so, there are far too many residents without garages. Will you get a space in the area? Yes. Will it always be right next to your apartment door? Probably not. Get used to walking 2-4 blocks between your apartment and your car.
