Hello All!

After reading many responses for similar questions as mine, I'm still confused not to mention worried I wont qualify for benefits again. Here's my situation, i hope someone knows what is likely to happen.

I was fired in June 2013 and qualified for benefits which ended the last week of Dec'2013. I received a letter from EDD stating that my benefits had exhausted and there were no extensions available. It also said to file another claim if I'm still unemployed.

I filed a claim online immediately and started doing some research to find out if I'd get benefits again but there's different responses explaining that there are no extensions available. I understand there's no extensions available so I'm re-filing for benefits not for an extension.

The old claim said it expired 06/2014 but benefits ran out 12/2013.

Does anyone have an idea of what the outcome will be since I filled 1 week ago?

Thank you and I appreciate any response.

Maria

You should probably ask your questions in the Work and Employment (Unemployment) section. I'm sure they'll have a response for you there.

I can't help you with your question, sorry.
What kind of work are you looking for? How's the job market for that line of work right now? Do you have any other skills that could help you find a different type of job? Which part of LA are you looking?
I may know of some things..
