Avanti on N. Lake is moving to the building north of the Vons, which used to be Spring Garden. They mostly dismantled the building. I ate at S.G. once and it had awful service.

The Noodles restaurant (across from the Target near Hudson) changed its name to EatMeUp. I haven't tried it, but I don't like the name. I wonder if it's still owned by the people who own Nine and Nine.

Old Town has a new candy store called It'Sugar (that is indeed the spelling). The old Barnes and Noble is being made into a yoga clothes store.

Have you noticed that Raymond Ave which crosses Colorado, has a life of its own, including a Kimogure sushi place near the train station, near Del Mar. Also N. Raymond has Saigon, a fine Vietnamese place.
