Ok so here I am another person finally ready to make the leap of faith and pursue his dreams... I have decided to move from Long Island NY to Los Angeles to follow my passion for acting... My question for all of you nice people already out there is: Where should I move to? I am a 23 year old guy moving down there with my 22 year old cousin. I am looking for an affordable (remember I'm not yet a working actor) 2 bedroom in an area where I don't have to loose sleep about my safety at night(or during the day for that matter). I want to be close enough to the "scene" so that I can truly give this my all, that's why I am going down in the first place. Also I will have a car but I heard that traffic over there has the ability to spontaneously melt someones brain... I am making a trip over there in 1 month and hope to have an idea on what area I want to look for a place. PLEASE HELP...

P.S. Oh yeah and happy holidays to all of you!!!

Do you have a budget or are you going to live in your car until you get a job?

Default Your upcoming visit, try to go 3 weeks or more

You will get a lot from staying for a few weeks or preferably a month rather than a few days when you come down to LA for a visit. Coming for a visit is definitely a good idea.
