One of the things I love (and look forward to the most when it comes to moving to LA) is the diversity of its neighborhoods, residents, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. you get the picture.

But is there anything that you miss and you cannot find in LA? Anything you've tried while traveling abroad but cannot seem to find back home?

I am aware that online shopping makes the most exotic of items easily attainable, but humor me here

I will start naming a few things that I expect NOT to find in LA, hoping to be wrong, of course!

Tchibo (the store and not just the coffee)
Palestinian Hummus (the best variety of Hummus according to my experience)
Haribo gummy bears
Himalaya Herbals products
Affordable but 'trendy' European clothing (like Massimo Dutti, River Island, Primark, Desigual)
Chimay Beer
Speculoos cookies and spreads..

But hey, in the end, I will be getting to have things that cannot be found anywhere else! Pink's and In-n-Out are just a few things to name!

So what's on your list?

We definitely have Haribo (in a lot of varieties, not just gummy bears) and Speculoos cookies.

You can find In-N-Out and even Pink's (I believe) in other cities and states.

Looks like there's one in Torrance...

I get it at Pavilions and from various restaurants through Seamless/GrubHub.

Haribo gummy bears
You can get these anywhere. CVS, Walgreens, Trader Joes, Pavilions, etc.

Himalaya Herbals products
There are health food/lifestyle stores all over Los Angeles. I have no doubt you could find any legal herbal supplements you want.

This is another thing you can get all over the place. My girlfriend buys it at Ralph's and I've seen it at Trader Joe's and Walgreens.

For trendy European clothing there is Topshop or huge H&M and Zara stores everywhere. But on that list, the only one in the LA area is Disigual. There used to be one on 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica but that closed down. Website says it in the Beverly Center. Primark will open first store in Boston and Massimo Dutti only has stores in Wash DC and Manhattan. No River Island that I know of.

Good drivers

It's so international in So Cal now you can find anything if you are willing to drive in traffic to get it.

Weird that earlier today Goodell told the Chargers, Raiders, and Rams that they weren't allowed to move to LA for the 2015 season.

A race track for cars. Fontana, 60 miles away, is the closest. We need to convert a golf course in L.A. to a road course with a dirt oval in the middle. But most males in L.A. are metrosexuals and alas there's not enough of a demand for a place where manly men can run a car on the weekends -- but we've got plenty of golf courses so people can hit a little ball until it falls into a hole.
