It got pretty cold in LA overnight (39F), but I do remember it dropping down to 34F in LA back in 2009.

V8 Vega, you're right. There was a fire in the San Gabriel Mountains in November 1976, so when the rains did come again in 1978 (it started raining on Christmas Day and didn't let up until April!) there were lots of debris flows and mudslides.

Sherman Oaks' low temperature was 30 degrees earlier today. Even now it's only 41.
