Good afternoon Los Angeles!

I and my girlfriend are planning another trip to LA from abroad, our first trip in 2009 August.

We already then, saw the usual common places like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, beach, and sort.

Anyone here know something different, interesting to see-do? Hoping for suggests that aren't going to be cost much, we already paying quite much expensive for the hotel room.

We will be visiting 2015 Spring, and for about a two weeks stay there.

Thanks for any good advices.

What kind of things do you like to do?

- Griffith Observatory
- Yamashiro Nighttime Farmer's Market
- Magic Castle
- Grand Central Market / Angel's Flight (downtown)

Oh - and definitely check Living Social & Groupon for discounted things to do!

there are tons to see in the LA area outside the places you have already seen

1. The Griffith Observatory: basically an astronomy museum perched on top of a hill at working observatory. great at night because they put out telescopes for you to watch the stars. The views are amazing too! Its a free attraction so it can be crowded though. Try and buy tickets to the one of the star shows before hard because they sell out fast.

2. Museum Row In Mid Wilshire: LACMA is one of the best art museums in the country. After that, there are tons of eateries along Wilshire and the The Grove is not too far. The Grove is a very nice, shopping and dining district in LA. It has a "disneyland" feel.

3. Check out the city of Pasadena. Located about 15 minutes away from DTLA off the 110. The city is a classical look into the LA's past with great architecture and a nice walkable DT area on Colorado Blvd with cute shops and eateries. Also, Pasadena has many nice museums there as well. Walk around City Hall and check out the architecture.

4. To see a beautiful ocean landscape backed by pretty mountains, take a ride on PCH to Malibu. You will ride past pacific palisades, an ocean front L.A. city neighborhood where the Getty Mansion is, which is another incredible museum in a pictuerwsque environment.

5. The drive to Malibu is very very pretty. Once there, stop at the Malibu pier and walk out. Also, there are nice restaurants along the way. Some of them can be pretty pricey as Malibu is pretty upscale, BUT you will see that Malibu is a quiet beach town.

Those are just some things.

If you want to venture down to the South Bay part of L.A. and Long Beach, then that is another list.

Extra: check out Marina Del rey. In fact, make that your hotel base, as it is a coastal, marina part of L.A. that has many resort like hotels. Check out the Marina Del Rey Hotel, the Marriot, and the MDR. Great restaurants and shops that are local.

Hope this helps!!!
