The only other place I have lived in that even compares to high end cars that are seen in Los Angeles is Zurich, Switzerland. I would see lots Maserati's, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini's, etc every day in this tiny Swiss Town and I used to see lots of these cars on my 1+ hr commute on the 405 & 101. Good post.

I have heard Zurich is a pretty rich town. But I'm guessing there isn't as much poverty in Zurich as in L.A

I heard the average wages in Switzerland are pretty high. I'm guessing things are overall pretty expensive too though.

Thanks for liking the post.

Right? I've been bilingual since high school. And the other language isn't Spanish.

Probably the majority of Americans still are English only speakers. I'm one, and so is most of LA except for foreign born Hispanics and Asians. Many of them dont' teach their second generaiton the language as well.

I agree with you man. Lot of people on here(City Data) act like they know a million languages, I don't trust a lot of what Americans say on here. Not trying to sound like I hate Americans. I am from the Middle East and I love Americans but a lot of people on here are not modest and act too cocky and like they know it all it bothers me. Americans tend to be upset and angry over the smallest things.

Well, people can say what they want on an Internet forum. The vast majority of Americans speak one language only. Especially in the heartland. Aside from Hispanic and Asian immigrants most everyone is English only, including American born blacks.

People get upset in KY over the smallest things? That seems very hard to believe. I feel you may be conflating how people act online in this forum versus in real life.
