Really? We've been to the Huntington. We were there when the "corpse flower" was blooming, but we didn't stand in line for it, lol.

Cute reaction, lol: Amorphophallus titanum - The Stink

I dont recommend going when it is hot unless you like walking around in the heat.

I may sound old but if you remember the TV show Fantasy Island where the man said "The Plane The Plane". The queen Anne Victorian house is here.

Oh, no, we watched that, lol. How funny.

The whole place is amazing. Check out the Live Coastal Oak and the bench around it. Check out the peacocks. The little lake. The wild strawberries that grow along a path that takes you into a hidden part of the garden. Honestly, there's too many favorite parts to mention. Go! But don't go when it's hot. And prepare to spend a lot of time there. It's huge!
We've basically lived in the Long Beach area our whole lives. I don't know how we knew of the Huntington but not this one; they're so near each other. And, apparently, they're about the same size.

I dont think there was much noticeable damage from that wind storm years ago. The trees seems to well grounded compared to the street and yard trees. Since there are so many trees there, if a few fell during the wind storm, then you wouldn't really notice.

You'll find the two are very different. Enjoy your trip! Don't forget to yell, "Da plane! Da plane!" when you're by the little house.

oh you have no idea! The warm summer months feature CONCERTS, and there the cool kind where you bring the whole family and lay out on blankets and bring your own rolling igloo cooler with whatever food and beverages you want!

Pasadena POPS | The Arboretum

My favorite was the music of John Williams ("Star Wars"). This year he's moved to the Hollywood Bowl, but give the Pasadena Pops @ the Arboretum a chance to wow you...
