When it comes to the small portion of any race that actually is involved with gangs, I don't have a problem with them. That's probably because I don't look away in fear or look down my nose at them like I'm superior for some reason. If they actually bother to look at me, I do something crazy like say "Hi!" And you know what happens next? They say "Hi" back. Either that or they just ignore me and go about their loitering. The point is that when I treat someone like a human in spite of all the terrible things I hear about them, the courtesy is usually returned. If you act like you think someone's going to hurt you before he shows any intention of doing so, that person might just be offended enough to give you what you expect of him.

It also helps that I don't dump on foreigners for not speaking English with each other. If Spanish/Chinese/Korean/Armenian/Persian works better for two people in conversation, more power to them. If an immigrant doesn't need English to do his job, I don't care if he doesn't learn it. That's his decision. Once I got over the whole language thing, my problems with LA seriously reduced since a major source of resentment was wiped away.

When it comes to crime, most of the violent crime is committed against other criminals. Most theft is committed by people who are locked out of the labor market by socialist policies dreamed up by guilty rich liberals years before immigrants were a "problem."

The only reason I'll ever leave LA is that I'll probably get tired of renting one day. And I don't blame illegal aliens for the real estate problem either. Hyperinflation is just a predictable result of central banks forcing interest rates down to the point where anyone can buy a house, and there aren't enough houses on the block to absorb the demand. Then when the banks keep the interest rate low in spite of high demand for the cheap loans, the price for houses (or dot-com stocks or whatever) goes through the roof. Restrictive zoning laws don't help. So even the housing problem is created more by central bankers in marble temples than by day laborers living two families to an apartment.

Please stop dumping on Mexicans and other races for the myriad of problems confronted by society. Even if you manage to kick out every last illegal alien in Southern California, the government policies actually responsible for the problems will just make them occur again. Only next time there won't be any foreigners to blame. And it'll be a shame, because I see lots of positives that foreign influence contributes to this city.

The way things have been going, I won't be surprised at all if some angry white guy inspires an all-out genocide campaign against all brown people. That idea scares the hell out of me, since the backlash won't be pretty. Look at pictures of Berlin in 1945 if you want to see the ultimate result of this kind of thinking.

I have met alot of less fortunate people from many races (even white) and some are into illegal things and/or gang activity, but when you get to know them as a human being you might be suprised at how good hearted some of them are. Then there are your flat ot bad seeds. The murderers and cold hearted killers, but those come from ALL races.
It is true that many black and hispanic dominated areas have higher crime, but look at the bigger picture here, the rich white fat cats aren't going into their neighborhoods and offering them jobs, are they? Nope, the white well offs would rather stay in their own area and look down on the less fortunate, gives them something to talk about and makes them feel superior. Sadly it will always be this way, it's just the way we are programmed.
Another thing, we have tons of Mexicans up here for the RV industry work (general labor) and while I do think many of their ways of life are strange or whatever, I don't see myself as superior because I am white.
It's sad that some of these mexicans do the same job for 20 years and are never late or absent, but never get promoted to office jobs. The American way I guess.

It's been said that if the US never had any blacks, there would have been no such thing as a "white" American. Europeans were killing each other for centuries and would have continued identifying with their native lands and fighting with people from other lands (particularly countries next door to their native countries) in America. If all nonwhites magically disappeared from the US, then "white" groups would just target other "white" groups. American "whiteness" has generally meant Not Black and Not Asian.

Try savannah Ga. It is the cheapest charming city I can think of. The wages are not that great but the housing is neet, especially in this down market.
