I'm 6'2". I was visiting LA back in February to help my brother-in-law and sister escape the city and move back east. I felt frickin' enormous.

Seriously? I went to college for a time in Iowa and it was one of the few places I didn't feel like Gulliver among the Lilliputians (I'm 6' 4"). Lots of tall people there and it was one of the few places I could get jeans/slacks long enough for me in most stores. I think the place I felt most conspicuous was when I lived in Salinas. 70% Latino - probably half of them Mexican nationals and I towered over most of them. Never felt so much that all eyes were on me wherever I went in my life.

I made a thread about this last year (and apparently it had been done before that).

Only a few times have I seen white men over 6'4" in LA. (A few more super-tall black guys and nobody else.)

Think your question was answered...and as the last post said, if someone is TRULY 6'2 they'll be among the tallest in LA. so many "six foot" guys I've met are really 5'10, even as low as 5'9.
