Let's just put it out there, I love this place So much to do and see. It may not be easy, and has it's problems too, but my goodness does this place rock! \m/

It's better than freezing in snow too!

Who doesn't like seasonal snowstorms, floods, and hurricanes?

100% agree.

The only drawback is the tight living conditions for 95-98% of the population and the traffic.

Still, there is so much to do, tons of work, best weather in the world, best restaurants, and the people are unique, friendly, and smart.

It's alright. Los Angeles was better in every way (minus smog) a generation ago. Much more chill and affordable.

Agreed.

The weather, geography/landscape, diversity of people, food, things to do etc are unmatchable

Los Angeles is certainly my favorite city. It's not great for everyone, obviously, but I really love it. The weather is perfect for me, I'll never run out of things to do, I've made some of the best friends I've ever had, and everyday I feel like I'm living my dream.

Ones persons heaven can be a hell for another. With all things, there's a balance or a sort of equilibrium at hand. With all this "goodness", lets not forget what is not.

there is really NO other region that matches LA in diversity of cultures/lifestyles, gives a MAJOR urban vibe along with places like the beach cities for a more laid back vibe, and has great weather and geography...

love LA

I agree. L.A. had potential, but it's been on a downward trend since the 80's. It's analogous to Rome, post Emperor Trajan.

I thought Los Angeles was the coolest place in the world when I was growing up there during the 1970's. I could not imagine living anywhere else. But that was a different time when everywhere, including New York, Paris or San Francisco, was either better or worse, depending on your age and outlook. But for what it is, with smog, traffic or crime, L.A. stands on it's own as truly one of the Greatest cities on the planet!
