I'm in favor of disbanding the homeless encampments around the city. Not a good look for our neighborhoods.

I think this is good that the city finally seems to be addressing the issue in some way rather than just pretending like there is no problem.

This is likely the result of residents (most likely wealthy and powerful ones) that complained to the city.

This has been an issue for years , so it's kind of ridiculous the city is just now going to do something about it supposedly.

We will see if there is any real enforcement though. Also it said there would be no penalties..so that makes me wonder how seriously this will be taken.

Thought the penalties for littering on public streets or illegal dumping were pretty severe...but I guess since they are 'homeless' they don't have to follow the same rules.

Just send them to New Jersey. It worked for New York.

Maybe we should start requiring people that move here have something going on.

A job ,money , etc..

If you want to move to this State and your plan is to panhandle or sponge off us while spreading your 'belongings' on our public sidewalks and streets that shouldn't be acceptable.

That would be impossible to enforce. Anyone can just drive, fly or walk into the state.

Anything can be enforced, but the only question is if it's a priority for the government.

How about a daily shipment of homeless to Garcetti's home to grab his attention?

All kidding aside, Garcetti is well aware of the problem. There are homeless literally living right outside City Hall.
