If you've been looking for a reason to go and explore Koreatown, here's a festival that is happening today and tomorrow (9/15 and 9/16/07). There is a parade today at 3 p.m., plus there is shopping, a carnival, food, and all that stuff!

Ha! We were going to go today but I noticed the parking and I thought, with the parade and all, it might be hard to get decent parking today... So we are going to go tomorrow.

I also noticed a Lobster Festival down in San Pedro, but they are having another Lobster Festival next week in Redondo Beach...

There are SO MANY options for entertainment in LA...

Neat! How did I not know of this? I live in the heart of Koreatown. I'll just bike on over there.

Lucky you! I wish I could just bike over! It sounds really neat with all the shopping and the entertainment -- plus I really love to try all the foods at these festivals.

The only thing that got me, as I was reading the website, was how they described the festival as attracting Asians, Hispanics, and African Americans -- and I thought "What about us White folks??!!" Maybe Whites really are a minority in LA?! (I'm just kidding. I think they forgot us because we're just supposed to be there. This is LA, after all. )

Anyway, I really like these ethnic festivals because you get to try all the FOOD! We are definitely planning to go tomorrow!

It was horrible. Trash all over the streets and traffic nightmare from the drivers. No joke, my GF said she was embarrassed to be a human after seeing the trash in the streets. Gross.

Hmmm...are you sure it's not just a case of xenophobia we have here? Perhaps it's just part of their culture to decorate the streets with refuse.
