My gf and I went to Old Town last night to find a parking ticket on her car on a meter that still had 10 mins left on it!
The ticket was for $48!!
I tracked down a "meter maid" and asked him why I got the ticket. He made up a story saying "the person who issued the ticket probably saw the red light blinking". Total BS!

Im so mad and disappointed over this!
F U Pasadena!

So I'm sure you took a picture of the meter with the amount remaining and a copy of the ticket and submitted it to the traffic department asking them to overturn the fine, right?

One time I got a parking ticket in Oldtown Pasadena because the payment machines did not sync the data correctly. The machine I paid at showed that my space had like 40 minutes left, but the machine (down the block) that the meter maid read from showed my space was expired.

I grabbed one of the Oldtown Pas safety/information people and showed him the machines' discrepancy. He wasn't able to help me directly of course, but I got his name just so I would have another person to back me up.

I took photos of the time remaining on both the good and bad machines... and contested the ticket with my explanation, the photos, and the name of the safety staff.

Ticket got dropped.

I did take a picture but the meter maid guy pretty much accused me of feeding the meter after the fact.

Im not sure how showing the meter proves anything since theres no ref of time…
its one of those old school coin meters.
