I'm in San Francisco now and I see charging ports in apartment complex car garages all over the place, as well as in standalone car garages. I know there are online maps that show where these charging points will be but they rarely show apartment complexes as they are considered 'private access'.

So, anyone know of apartment complexes in Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Hermosa or Manhattan Beach with these car chargers?

Thanks!

Most high-end apartment complexes will allow you to install a charging station/apparatus at your assigned parking since it can generally be done in a short period of time and shows the owners that you're well off(since EVs are new and tend to be expensive) and that you're not a short term renter.

This is true, but I don't want to pay for the install.

Too bad? If you limit your options to just places that already have them installed you're going to have next to no options. The buildings with charging stations already installed for every resident are boutique buildings, with very high rents and very low turnover. You would save money by renting in a more modest building and paying for the install yourself. If you can't afford the install then you can't afford to live in the buildings that already have them installed for every tenant.

Carson might be getting a lot of chargers soon but it's not really upscale.

Quite a few units downtown along Fig have EV chargers although they're mostly condos so I hope you can swing a $600k mortgage. Lots of surface lots and structures in Beverly Hills have chargers as well as along the Avenue of the Stars. If you can rent next to one of them, you may be in luck...until 1/2 your neighbors buy Tesla Model III's and your fighting for spots.

Bummer! I WISH I could buy a condo. Maybe one day. Looks like my electric car dreams will need to be put on hold and I'll just lease a gas car for a few years.
