We heard that some Disney Studios people train in from Ventura to Glendale. How is this commute? And any thoughts on Ventura?

Well, there's quite a few thoughts in the Ventura County forum. Have you checked it out?

That's a long train ride. And Disney offices aren't within walking distance of either the Burbank or Glendale stations, so youd have to bus the last part of the commute.

Maybe not, Disney may have a shuttle/shuttles that picks up employees who take Metrolink.

I use to take Metrolink from Van Nuys to Union Station, and the company had a shuttle for employees to take you the rest of the way, and dropped you off at night.

Actually taking the train is pretty relaxing way to go, you can read, sleep, make train friends or stare at your phone, it beats driving.

I don't know if they've extended the Ventura County metrolink line, but it used to start in Simi Valley. If you are the person who was concerned about the weather in Glendale, you should be aware that Simi Valley is HOT! Not sorta hot, but downright miserable HOT.

When it started in 1992 it went from Moorpark to Union Station. They now have some trains go to the east side of Ventura and some that go to Moorpark

Again, take "miseable hot" with a grain of salt. As a former Midwesterner, most people in So Cal don't really understand real hot weather.

Make that most Americans.

Too much obesity, too many meds, too much time spent in settings with AC set to something like 60 F. It changes the body into a state where anything over 70 F and the person is sweating bullets.

Yes, Disney did, in fact, have shuttles, along with a few other big employers a few miles away by the studios in Burbank. The OP should check to see the shuttle schedules.

You are correct, sir. And what we really can't handle heer is HUMIDITY because, except for very lately, we rarely get soul-sucking humidity.
