Considering Burbank but have received mixed feedback about the schools. Is there one junior high or high school that stands out among them? Which neighborhood should I be looking in?

Stick with Glendale Unified; its public schools rank much higher than Burbank USD.

The general consensus is that BUSD is among the best in LA County, and that GUSD is merely decent to good with some great pockets.

Burbank High is a little better than John Burroughs but they are both great schools.

Burbank High is way better than Glendale. I live in Glendale and I sent my daughter to Burbank High because I didn't want her to attend any of Glendale's high schools and some of my nephews who lived in Burbank went to John Burroughs. Both Burroughs and Burbank are good high schools. The parents are very involved with the students, the teachers are caring and competent and the kids are mostly a decent, well-raised group of young people.

Burroughs is more white.

Burbank HS is more Armenian.
