Hello
I am currently Purchasing a home in North Claremont CA. and just wanted to get some feed back in regards to crime and if Claremont is still the Prestine crime free town our family members who live there make it out to be.We are leaving great neighbors and a beautiful home on acreage in Acton CA. We are moving to a older tract home in Claremont two blocks from Chapparal elementary school In search of slightly more diverse /better schools.I am a bit concerned in regards to a recent stabbing ,two rapes, shootings on the 210 Fwy in Claremont and buglary stats.I understand Claremont is pushing to build "AFFORDABLE HOUSING" on Baseline road these issues are causing concern and a little buyers remorse.Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

I live in N. Claremont and have also lived in S . Claremont. It is a great neighborhood. The schools are great and it is clean and safe. But Like ANYWHERE, bad people can come through and do bad things. That dosen't mean that is is dangerous or unsafe especially when compared to other places. IF you ever look at the crime stats around any area, there is ALWAYS crime that nobody knows about. You always have to protect yourself. Don't be worried, it is a very nice area.

I know im late on this post, but dont trust the crime statistics you read on Claremont, they lie!!!! The city dumps alot of its crimes on Pomona. For example there was a gang fight between bloods and crips a few months ago in S. Claremont a blood was shot and killed, the murder stasitic showed up as 0 at the end of the year.

Oh and I saw you mentioned Affordable Housing on Basline Rd. I live directly across the street from that. On March 4th my nieghbour and good friend entered into a standoff with Police after shooting his wife, he was killed that morning. R.I.P James~Remembered forever.

Claremont. I remember going there once. Was visiting a buddy who goes to Cal Poly Pomona, and we hung out with his frat buddies. Went to some rich kid's house who threw a hissy fit when my friend I brought with me accidentally flipped over his parent's "italian" chair....

Yeah, doesn't look very tough around there.

If he killed his wife, he won't be resting in peace but she will.
