One of the biggest auto wrecking yards in LA 26 acres, they have been in busness for 53 years. They recycled as many as 25,000 cars a year, 80 workers losing their job.
Movies and TV shows have filmed there, Escape from LA, In Cold Blood, Hangover, Adam 12, Chips and more.
Their closing because of costly pending government and enviroment regulations, including Affordable Care Act insurance for their employees, rising minimum wages, a stormwater runoff permit and family estate taxes.

ive been their numerous times getting parts to restore my old cars and hate to see it go.

I did hear that a junkyard was closing I was wondering what would happen with the land after but then they mentioned the environmental issues . Makes me wonder why they could operate so long ? Maybe kickbacks to the government . There is a lot of industrial stuff in the area .
