Hi Everyone,

I will recently be moving to Valencia and I will be working in the Universal City area. Google Maps and Mapquest seem to think that the daily commute will be around 35 minutes. My biggest concern is during rush hour - when I will be heading to and from work.

Could anybody offer any insight on the approximate commute time between Valencia and Universal city during rush hour (dependent on accidents of course).

Any information you could provide will be great.

Thanks,
W

My best guess is over an hour at the very least. This is not something I'd want to do.

The 170 South is already backed up at 6 AM. Just take it until it stops moving, then take surface streets the rest of the way.

I know someone who commutes from canyon country to Burbank and when he drives it takes about an hour. He mostly uses the train, but that is not an option to universal

Just spoke to Bro (over holiday) and he says it takes him no more than an hour to get downtown. I specifically reference poster from C-D who said it took longer, he laughed and shook his head. He has driven that distance for more than 10 years.

He leaves in the am, never asked what time, which is very important. I will text him today and post later.
