I'm driving from San Pedro to Sylmar on Friday for a 9AM job interview. What is the recommended departure time and route? OR should I get a room overnight?

Thanks

Google your trip on Google maps, San Pedro to Sylmar, and it will give you an approximate time and routes that it will take to get there.

You have to be the judge on how much traffic there will be because of accidents but this site below gives you a snapshot on fast traffic is moving in real time.

Sigalert Los Angeles.

get the hotel room. that's a long stressful drive, which probably will affect your mood for the interview. if you'd prefer to drive, make sure you can use the 110 toll lanes if at all possible.

I'm checking Sigalert in the mornings to see what the traffic and the commute is like from 6 - 8am.

A cheaper option than a hotel... Leave at 5:30 am, arrive at 6:30, have a nice breakfast. be at Interview 8:45.

Thanks. I note that 110 is a better shot than the 405. and I have FastPass!

I would take the I-110 to the I-5 to SR-2 to the I-210. That would be my best option.
