I would love to live in long beach. Get a small bungalow in belmont shore for ~800-1m and then add on a story or two.

I’d say job first. The location of your job will inform where in Long Beach you want/need to live.

Oh I like Long Beach, I thought about moving down there myself when I worked near downtown in LA in the early 90s(I lived in Silverlake and had an easy commute), a coworker said to me "why don't you drive down the Harbor Fwy one night after work and see how long it takes to you get to Long Beach"....LOL...that cured that idea.


I don't see why anyone would make their commute more difficult in Southern CA. The OP sounds young, I was young in the early 90s....LOL.
