2015 was the hottest year on record and it didn't even hit 110 last Summer, let alone 120. Hell, we had a historic heatwave last year and never came close to 120.

120 in LA? I don't think it even hit that in Death Valley last year.

This guy has obviously never been to LA.

The OP claims they weren't impressed with Los Angeles, then admits to spending just four hours here, another person exaggerates and says Los Angeles easily hits 120 during the summer, another poster states Los Angeles is "a pain in the butt," but turns right around and recommends the OP visit cities/neighborhoods within Los Angeles County... This thread is a mess.

4 hours in that little part of LA and you're passing judgements about the city?

Ok.

That's like me hanging around far northwest Chicago near O'Hare and saying how boring/average Chicago is.

I said that's what my thoughts were based on the time I had available on the city , I still very much enjoyed it and want to move there

Regardless of your unimpressed first impression of LA, I hope you're not basing your move on 4 hours of experience. LA is a very unforgiving city to the unprepared and misinformed.

OP, as pretty much everyone else mentioned 4 hours is nothing to explore any city.
I'm sure it's normal even for natives or people that have lived here many decades to not have really explored everything in the L.A area.
The area by the airport is generally pretty boring and can be sketchy.
I agree with you on Venice, it's cool to go there once in a while..but the homeless situation has gotten out of hand and can make it less desirable for me.

Even in Santa Monica about 6 months ago I got confronted by a crazy homeless guy right near the beach. It was pretty scary. This is a super expensive area that is even more expensive to live in than Beverly Hills.

You didn't have enough time available or really see anything to form an opinion.
