My first job as a teenager was working at a 7-11 on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills in the 1980's (rules were more lax then). One day I witnessed one customer pull a switchblade on another customer. Luckily it did not escalate and nobody was hurt. But did Woodland Hills become a "bad" neighborhood because of one bad incident? No, I don't think so.

Thats sucks and I feel bad for the victims but I'll never understand why someone is going to try to physically confront someone who's stealing a 40 and a hot dog. I understand they own the business but is losing $4 in merchandise worth it?

Valley Village is generally fine but the further north you go on Laurel Canyon Blvd., the grungier it gets especially as you enter Van Nuys.

These guys always seem to be around those smoke shops on Ventura. I wish they'd just get rid of smoke shops or restrict the number of them. Always attracts a bad element.

I visit friends in Tarzana at least once a month. I've never seen any sign of gang activity or graffiti in the area. We usually dine at restaurants along Ventura Blvd. We've not seen any evidence of gangs hanging out in the area.

Eventually enough of these stories will come out and then there will be real outrage towards the mentally ill psycho homeless roaming the streets of CA making good peoples lives' difficult. were productive members of society are no longer productive.
