Because the traffic and crowding here is absurd.
Traffic alone has been getting noticeably worse over the past few years. This last year I'm seeing short 5 mile trips take as along as an hour.

That sounds absolutely ridiculous, there needs to be a solution. Maybe I'm much better off on a bike.

I tried that but my landlord is raising rent $400. Most places have no rent control

This is main reason I'm buying to control my costs

The solution is for people to stop coming here.

Low vacancy rate has a lot to do with it. LA rents: Vacancy rate falls to 2.7 percent as area's rental market tightens further | 89.3 KPCC

And have taken no substantive steps to effect a move out here. Hard to take your sentiment seriously.

OK, this guy lost all credibility when he claimed there aren't good colleges in Boston. If there is one thing Boston is known for is the highest concentration of colleges in the US. And a few places you may have heard of like Harvard and MIT. Even the 4th rate schools in Boston are better than the best most states have to offer. Yes CA has some of the best colleges too but picking that as a main reason he has to flea Boston like a refugee for Los Angeles is laughable
