The world should rest on weekends so the OP can sleep in.

I have a high rise being built directly behind me and they have worked every Saturday for months. Not once have they woken me up. If anything car traffic is louder but that doesn't wake me up either.

Call the police if it occurs.
"Noise" is relative. What is the statute and what decibel level does it state?

Oh good, another L.A. forum strawman argument, like I don't tired of them....

People who work in construction are made to work 6 days a week. This was not the case decades ago, before the exploitation of "undocumented" labor.

People who work in grocery stores etc. are hired with the number of hours they work per week agreed upon beforehand, with some flexibility. A person may work Saturday, for example, but have Sunday as well as Monday off. BTW, ever notice there aren't timecard clocks at construction sites?

I didn't hear your mic hit the floor because I happen to be wearing earplugs right now, so take that then.

All construction by the non-property owner is forbidden.
Construction noise by the property owner is a judgement call from the police officers who respond to a complaint. The officers will tell you to stop construction, if you don't and they come out again, you will be cited. If you don't like being cited by an officer you can go fight the citation at the district attorney's office(that is the first step).

I can understand road construction on the weekend though.
