Four days ago a strange guy started parking in front of my house. I have never seen the guy or the car down my street ever before. I know pretty much all my neighbors and the usual people that live here. He parks at night and is usually gone by the morning but I haven't been able to catch him on time to see where he goes into and today his truck was still in front of my house till like 10 am. I find it weird that hes suddenly parking here. The house next door to me is for sale and vacant so I was kinda wondering if he might be a squatter. Just seems a bit suspicious...Should I be concerned?....I dont care about the parking much because I know its legal to park in the street in la county. It just seems shady and i dont want any illegal activity going on in front of my home....Am i being paranoid?

No you are not acting strange as a matter of fact , I have had the police called on me when I am parked in a neighborhood that I don't live in. My vehicle is check out by the local cops. Neighbors tend to call the police department and report all suspicious vehicles.

Yes. Call the police! Don't wait! Err on the side of caution.

I didn't know it was illegal to park on a public street. Maybe the guy bought the the house for sale and is fixing it up at night. Maybe he is one of your neighbor's new boyfriends.

All these alternative reasons may be true. Still, you don't want to be known as the person who didn't do anything when something terrible happens.

It's said that you should call the police if you notice any suspicious activity. OP felt suspicious of this man so I think that's reason enough to call.

why do they have to be married? If they are married I doubt the boyfriend would be spending the night every night unless the husband travels. It could just be a single person that has a new boyfriend. ....or it could be a terrorist plotting an attack skip police and call FBI tip hotline!
