Just a few minutes ago looking true north from West L.A., I saw two objects, one larger than the other, burning up and leaving a huge smoke trail. Looked like perhaps a satellite grazing the atmosphere and gradually breaking up, as opposed to the typical meteor which moves at a greater angular speed.

I saw this out on a walk!! I thought at first it was a plane but it was too bright and too big. Where I live it's fairly dark, so it really stuck out!

The media claims it was a meteor, but I don't believe it. It was something orbiting the earth that fell out of orbit due to a lack of centripetal acceleration.

As a guy who literally from *The Jurassic Era* of the "Information Superhighway",
I find your joke almost offensive.

I use the Internet (& TCP/IP in general) in ways you couldn't imagine.

Snapchat is a piece of S_H_I_T that will be GONE by 2018.

Youtube is Democracy, personified. It gave validation, and independant video feeds uploaded by half a dozen sources within minutes of an event in the night sky, spanning 2 states. For free. It beat the TV news by 4 hours, and I didn't even have to watch a commerical for 10 differents products that I would never buy anyways just to receive the information I wanted to.

Snapchat! get outta here...

It was said to be a stage of their manned spacecraft launched about a month ago. Since NORAD tracks such things that is probably correct. When I saw it (we could also see it from the Bay Area) my first thought was incoming MIRVed war head cone. In fact, it could easily have been, given the rocketry they now are demonstrating. If you ever see a whole bunch of these at the same time, say a prayer.
