Rent is $2,000 to $3,000 a month should get you two bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen.

A $3,000 to $4,000 should get you three bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen.

You may get one for under $2,000 a month rent being one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen.
I'm probably going to rent for a couple more years but I just wanted to see how much it would cost to buy in LA compared to my hometown which has similar renting prices.

But things like gangs, shootings and people getting shot is more a really big concern in LA. Like to get stats on how many people get shot in day in LA.

In the 90's there where places cops would not go with out at least 4 back up units or more.
I never worry about gangs and gettng shot.
thats crazy

Pure geography, Miami is virtually in their backyard to move to and NYC (I have only been to LA 3 times in my 48 year life but have lived in/near NYC for all but 4 of them so I can tell you we have large populations here) is still a lot closer than L.A.

But it works in reverse too. I visited relatives in L.A. 30 years ago for the summer as a HS graduation present and saw a lot of Mexicans on the streets/signs of Mexican culture (as simple as even the fact that Taco Bell was already prevalent there and didn't exist by me) but they were non-existant back in NY. In later decades Mexican immigration spread beyond their tradition strongholds (again, because it geographically was in their "backyard") of Texas, California and the rest of the Southwest to NYC, Chicago metros and then to some extent the entire rest of the country.

Kind of like how the bagel went from NYC through the Northeast to the rest of the country, so did the taco in reverse....

I never worry about gangs or getting shot either and I certainly don't live in "some rich community".

Because it's not a crime. Is there a victim? No. Then no crime. Leave the police alone to fight real crime, like violence or theft. Stop wasting tax payers money on jailing the mentally ill.

Just look away. and your kids ask, tell them that's what happens when you don't do well in school.

Besides, any kid over the age of ten knows what jerking off is, esp if they are living and going to school in LA.

parents and their constant hand wringing about "THE CHILDREN!"

lol.
