Dear People,
Thanks for reading this !
I am lady of 64, of French origin, now living in Amsterdam,
the Netherlands.
I dream of returning to Santa Monica, which I loved on a earlier
visit, to deepen my spiritual practice, and meet new people, and
generally enjoy that marvelous (in my eyes) sunny place.
And mostly, I just feel so strongly that I need to be there.
But ! through peculiar circumstances, finances right now are not
cooperating fully with this deep dream of mine. Flight money is
available, though, thank God.

So ! I dare asking you : would you know a saintly soul, or a simply highly
understanding person, who would be ready to allow me the use of a (smallish would do)
room in Santa Monica (for 3 months - any dates from now on would suit me) ?
I am, of course, neat and quiet ; a vegan, (thus, too, non smoking, non drinking),
I am well behaved, I do speak with a French accent, but hey, I always think & read &
write in English.
I´ve done of lot of Yoga & Meditation through the years, and have practiced most of the religions of
the world. I also go to Church. I just love Spirituality in all its forms.

I PRAY that a good answer comes to, I know, my utmost utopic request, but I believe in
the goodness of humanity, so much so that I too do all I can to be the Best Person I can be.

Thank you so much, and I wish you the loveliest day,

May YOUR Dreams also come true (swiftly !),

Shobha.

Sure, you can get a free room in Santa Monica...you just have to be whiling to do "favors" for the landlord. Not the pulling weeds type.

I missed a small detail in the first post. I'd not have said Lots had I noticed it.

I get the whole "if you don't ask, you won't get" thing, but...come on. Start with a free day in San Bernardino, work your way up to a free week in Van Nuys, then a month in K-Town and maaaaaybe then try asking for something that's worth at least $3K and a lot of inconvenience.

I'd imagine a 64 year old woman is going to have limited options in that department.

LA is not exactly a place where people give 2 you know whats about strangers. Combined with the cost of rent and real estate around here nobody is going to give away a free room to a stranger when they could charge $1000+ for the same room and have people lined up to pay for it
