Did you know that as a percentage of total lawful immigrants, the vast majority are non white? This has been the case now for many decades. The vast majority of the estimated 12 million undocumented aliens are also from non European countries.

Then in the 90s is when it became TRULY diverse . Side note....can't believe LA used to have a higher percentage of black Americans than it did Hispanics! If you look at the percentages the black flight in LA seems pretty crazy..I believe the city is now only 8% black or so.

And the black population was at its peak in 1980, although the percentage did decline since 1970. Black flight from LA is indeed crazy.

It never did. While 1970 was the first year Latinos were counted, only people with Hispanic last names were counted as Latino that year. The actual Latino population of L.A. has always been higher than the black population.
