I have been in the market for a forever home... earlier this year I said enough is enough and I'm not chasing anything.

Funny thing is around that time the market shifted ever so slightly...

One of the surgeons I work with put his home on the market 5 weeks ago and not a single offer... he is starting to get worried... he told me last summer it was multiple offers on everything in his neighborhood.

I have Realtors calling me when they had no time for me last year.

Real Estate is cyclical...

Crazy thing to me is how many of these sales are cash. And much of that money is coming from abroad. And my belief that there is a direct relationship to how wealthy these international buyers are, and how much of our wealth and opportunity we have shipped overseas.

I'm talking about jobs and manufacturing, if you're too dense to read between the lines.

And the fact that this is poorest choice of candidates this nation has ever seen for Presidency doesn't give me much reason to believe...

When you print money to quantitatively ease the supply... those dollars have to go somewhere...

but just saying.
Not true.

I hate the broad stereotyping of "Middle America." There is no such thing. Parts of "Middle America" offer a very high quality of life and housing is very, very expensive.

Maybe you mean Texas?

And no offense, but who would want to live in Texas.

Or maybe you mean Phoenix after the crash.

Or Vegas.

Sure, you could get a nice size house there for a song but wouldn't want to live in any of those areas.

Why is it so hard to believe there are people out there who like the idea of living in Texas, or somewhere other than California? Ever heard of personal preferences?

I don't believe this person even lives in California, nor is originally from California, based on their username.

An excise tax on foreign buyers is needed. They do it in Vancouver. About time to give Americans a break.
