Thats a better price for a nice studio. You can maybe find a 1 bedroom for that price if you look hard enough in DTLA.

You will not find a 1 bd for 1600 in dtla, maybe a studio or loft can be had for 1600-2100 with/without parking.

LA is spread out but any major area like Santa Monica, DTLA, Hollywood, Silver Lake/Echo Park, Pasadena Eagle Rock/Burbank/Glendale or even the valley areas in Studio City/Sherman Oaks/Noho have as much going on in each area as Chicago does as a whole. Chicago has less then 3 million people Los Angeles (which is LA County) has over 10 million. Believe me, there are a lot more young, single people in LA then Chicago

ok now the final question. Will 100K salary do it to have a nice 1 bed room? and i have a luxury car too so with payments and stuff what do you guys think about that money in LA? It's pretty decent in Chicago but 1 beds in downtown Chicago start at $1600, That's the price in LA suburbs.

What do you guys think?

By your definition LA is one giant suburb The only part that fits the normal idea of a city is downtown which is about 5% of the real Los Angeles

What's considered a luxury car in Chicago? You need at least an Aston Martin here before you can say you have a luxury car. In LA a 3 series or C class is the equivalent of a Corolla in the rest of the country

Similar case in Chicago, you see luxury cars everywhere but Chicago is more affordable so i am sure there is a difference. I have an Audi so that's same as Toyota in LA? lol

No. Try Pasadena. It's closer to Covina, anyway, and there's a lot to do in Pasadena.
