Rarely if ever unless I'm going to Disneyland or the Observatory in Santa Ana.

Everyday since I work there. lol.

Since we live near the LA/OC county line we'll do most things in North OC.

It's rare for us to go the opposite direction (to Downtown and beyond), unless it's for an event, sports or a friend's house

I only go when I'm visiting Disneyland, so maybe 15-20 times a year.

My family and I have Disney passes, my brother lives in OC, and I have some HS/College friends who live there as well so we're down in OC on average every month. the drive from the valley sucks though and i hate it, otherwise we'd go much more often.

Seems like in a lot of parts of Los Angeles few people rarely if ever go to that place and maybe even never heard of it..

You do realize how absurd this statement is, don't you? People travel to see the Angels and the Ducks play, for one, not to mention Newport, Laguna, and Huntington Beach, just to name a few.

Were you being sarcastic?

Well, Laguna Beach and San Juan Capistrano has it's charms but other than that... meh...and I live in OC!
It's a nice enough place for day to day living, but if we lived anywhere else we'd hardly visit except to visit family.
Saying that... while it's fun to come up to LA and hang out with friends and get a little excitement because of all this interesting and cultural delights, I could never live there! It's just too dense and crazy for me now...I was raised in the valley btw, and lived there till my mid 20's. Couldn't do that again. But visiting IS fun!
