Depends on which marina and how big your boat is. I have a screaming deal at under $ 14 per foot for a 40 foot slip, but I've been there a long time and the docks are not that nice. If I were you I would spend a pleasant afternoon going from dock office to dock office. Get the prices and check out the slips and amenities.

Where? Rates vary a great deal. I live on a boat and have had slips in more marinas than I can remember to count off top of head. Rates from one area to another can be more than 150% different.

Also, what kind of boat and are you looking for a liveaboard slip?

Hi Tulemutt. Not to hijack, but just curious what kind of boat you live on. I lived on a 36' Catalina for a few years and loved it. Are you in Del Rey ?

Mike

Nice Boat. I would start at Marina Harbor Anchorage on Bora Bora Way. I think they have the greatest number of 60' slips. Otherwise, you're looking at end ties or main channel slips and you're going to have to go from marina to marina to check availability. It won't be cheap, but with a boat like that, you can afford it.

Mike
I have several now that I am retired. I keep a small cruising cat in Coronado at the base marina (retired military), and an old wooden St Pierre sailing version dory in the San Juan Islands of Puget Sound for summers, and pull a 1958 20' Skagit Offshore fiberclassic motor cruiser around on a trailer various places, mostly kept at my slip in Morro Bay.

Used to liveaboard many years in the Bay Area and Delta.

Yes, I can live happily in a shoebox. Love the lifestyle

Holy moley! But where? I don't know if you are in SoCal, Bay Area, San Diego, Monterey ... etc. Slips in California range from about $6 a foot on up to $15 and $18 a foot.

Planning to live aboard that TajMahal?

And, btw, I assume you are former infantry? Retired military?
