Garcetti spread a lot of this Trump hate before he was elected .
He could of said he supported Hillary which obviously he did anyways but his speech was divisive .

It seems like such a dumb move of him to say this about somebody that was a Presidential Candidate especially as the mayor of the 2nd largest city!

Ahead of Donald Trump's campaign trip to Southern California today, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti slammed the presumed Republican nominee on Tuesday, calling Trump the "ultimate caricature" of a politician who will say anything to get elected.

"What we can't do with Donald Trump is normalize him as a candidate," Garcetti said in a conference call with reporters. "He's a racist, he's a bigot, he's sexist."

Regardless of opinion on Garcetti himself, what he said was entirely true. But why separate outrage bias from truth? No fun!

The intelligent, well informed pollsters claimed Clinton would win, as did the media.

And Trump, said not to be intelligent, defeated the entire political establishment.

Trump was a pretty good campaigner. He believed in himself, ignored all the experts, used simple language and now he is the President elect!

Not sure why you are comparing pollsters to the poster I reflected on. Nor why you bring up Trump's intellect. I was observing the flow of rather mindless taunting and ridiculing made by posters here.

Now that you bring it up, though, Trump didn't beat the establishment with his intellect, that's for sure. The establishment beat itself by being arrogant to the electorate.

And if you call Trump's behavior on the campaign trail "good" ... um ... it was ef'ing deplorable.

It's either that, or listen to the screeching, ugly comb-over for 4 years, as he runs amok through the international community and the US economy like a bull in a china shop. Guess who won, by hook or by crook?
Fasten your seatbelts, folks. We're in for a wild ride, and not in a good way.

And another snobby, pretentious, elitist post. Even after the liberals lose the election, they continue to turn people off with the same elistist behavior.

No, they weren't, entirely. The stock market did plunge, but it made up its losses later in the day, breaking just above even the day after election day.

We'll never know how many Dems turned out. According to some news sources, strict new voter ID laws in some states prevented some from voting. According to news reports during election day, voting machines in some precincts were registering the opposite to the candidate voters entered. Reports didn't say whether or not that "glitch" favored a certain candidate, or if there was any pattern. The day after voting, reports said some precincts had been given only one ballot-reader machine per polling place where paper ballots were used, forcing voters to stand in line for over an hour just to enter their ballot results, and many gave up and left.

Two months ago, a Trump campaign worker detailed on national radio how he and his colleagues were reviewing voter registration rolls and identifying names to be dropped. On the same program, a lawyer said it was illegal to do so within 90 days of an election, yet the illegal action on the part of an entire team of operatives wasn't halted.

Dems may have made a strong turnout, but in the face of the kind of chronic voter suppression efforts that have taken place in every election since both Bush Bush/Gore, documented by Congressional investigation, we can't know at this point how high or low the turnout really was.
