I miss the Mighty Met, too! I remember when it became The Wave, and I was thinking, "Whaaaaat?!"

However, I grew to kind of like The Wave; it was a refuge from some of the rap being played on other stations.

It makes me laugh that KRTH, which has always played oldies, is not calling themselves an oldies station anymore! God forbid that people in their 50s and 60s should ever consider themselves old, right?

I like 50s and 60s music, too, but unfortunately the market for that demographic isn't exactly appealing for advertisers anymore, unless surgical centers are hyping hip replacement surgery!
