Most Easterners thinking of moving to "Cawifawnia(r)" ought to limit it to places like Sacto.

Just saying ...

You may be able to find a single in Northridge or Burbank for what you earn, but all other places you'll need to find a room mate or two.

You may end up doing what almost all the other people do who want to move to LA with little to no income and have those same cities you listed as their preferred destination: Move into an apt in a sh*tty part of North Hollywood or Van Nuys (Tijuana) until you can find roomies in a better location.

Visit first, then decide on where you want to live.
Why even go through that. A 20 year old moving to the LA area with what is really a low paying job needs to go the roommate route. It will keep them from putting most of their paycheck into rent and also a way to meet people and make friends.

Absolutely on the visit first, I don't get why anyone would move anywhere without visiting first unless you're in the military.

Thank you for the help. I have multiple streams of income, not just 1. I appreciate the helpful comments
