Garcetti is a great Mayor. As long as the last of the Briebart reading Angelenos are purged from LA, he has my vote.

If they hate him so much, they should move back to Plymouth Rock, or Elis Island, where their people came from. Viva Garcetti!
What has Garcetti done for Los Angeles? What are his accomplishments?

Not sure about who he is or what he's done. But I looked up some responses:

"Pro: I like a lot of his policies.
Con: He doesn't follow through. He seems afraid to really upset anyone, so he'll put out a policy idea, but is nowhere to be found when city council people completely override it.
I really want to like him, but I'm tired of him not showing up when someone like Paul Koretz slaps down his Great Streets plan."

"He works hard to make LA the best city it can be and has made a lot of improvements in modernization. The My311 app is fantastic, he's helped get a lot data out there about the city, he's championed progressive causes, he championed the Jewel of Los Angeles, our misunderstood river, he's against Measure S, his family is multiple generations Los Angeleno, he's made a lot of efforts for outreach to get people engaged and involved with their city, he's running for reelection instead of jumping ship to climb the political ladder. He's really pushed for greener streets and more transit. Think about all the transit projects that have been started and completed during Garcetti's tenure. All the bond Measures that have passed. He's been an advocate for very progressive causes. Garcetti's on our side."

But like I said, I havent looked much into the candidates. Heard lots of good, lots of bad. But only time I read bad was when I read LA times articles. I'd take them seriously if the comments weren't racist. And I don't mean for the fact of using the term illegal. But just by being bluntly racist.

Sad, is it not? We've allowed a corrupt criminal, somebody who in at least one instance we know of took money from a developer (and in excess of what is allowed by law) in exchange for Garcetti's assistance in fast tracking a non-conforming building project (expounded further here: A $72-million apartment project. Top politicians. Unlikely donors. Who wrote the checks to elected officials weighing approval? - Los Angeles Times), to return to office.

BTW, should we be thanking Corruptcetti for his service with a gift basket as we do the rest of the criminals in this city? Or perhaps a Cookie Puss soft serve ice cream cake from Carvel's...

I asked that in an earlier post in this thread when someone said they thought he was a great Mayor, as I expected not one reply. Crime is way up, traffic is still crap and the homeless population is still way out of hand. But Mayor dbag is focusing on protecting illegals and f-ing legal residents of LA. What a joke.
