Actual amplitude of a San Andreas quake won't be as intense as the Northridge quake unless of course you live really close to the fault like in Lancaster. No I'm not too worried. I also live on bedrock.

This is news? I can personally testify that they've been saying this for at least 40 years.

Isn't this the same thing they have been saying since 1980 if not 1970?

Yes, The Big One is coming. It is overdue. It has been overdue for decades now.

I refuse to tailor my life around something that is so unpredictable. I have my emergency gear and my bug-out kit. I've got my water, my generator, my canned and dried food. Nothing much else to do. I suppose I could start wearing a hardhat everywhere I go, but they make me sweat.

QFT. This is no longer even soft news - just clickbait at this point.

Something that will happen again will happen again. More news after the break.

The USGS is just another government agency that needs to go.

"Our scientists develop new methods and tools to supply timely, relevant, and useful information about the Earth and its processes."

They should change their mission statement to read " Taking a wild a$$ guess for over 100 years."

It could happen in 10 minutes. It could happen 40 years from now. They've been saying this forever.
