Alright folks, so I live in the census-designated LA County section of East Pasadena. My family and I been living here for about 20 years, and is a pretty good community until recently. Over the past, 3 years we've seen a lot of crime, homeless, and deterioration in our neighborhood.

We've try to complain to the county, but whatever efforts they have done, aren't really helping. The problem i see here is the lack of a city government, an entity that really represent us.
Our home addresses have Pasadena, CA on them, but we can't go to Pasadena and put our complains, because we're not part of Pasadena.

So might questions is, how does a census designated area get annex by a city. I think our solution would be for our community to get annex into actual Pasadena City limits, so that then we could take our concerns to council.

And yes, I do understand that merging into a city has its consequences as well, such as paying more taxes, more regulations, and less autonomy. But lately, our neighborhood has been bad, I think is worth giving some stuff up.
