Quite cool here, 65, but I see by Friday we will see some high 80s, which I don't like.

114°F here in Indio as of right now! It's supposed to hit almost 120°F later on today! Pretty much most of SoCal, including the Los Angeles area, is under an excessive heat advisory alert as of current.
