I wouldn't walk around wearing the opposing team's colors, I can still remember a few years ago when a Giants fan was beaten to a coma in the Dodger stadium parking lot

Raiders fan had to transfer somewhere and Lakers are too expensive. But even then I doubt if the drunk and high would do that to a jersey besides the arch rival Giants

This sounds like a trip we will plan for another time. When we have more time. We don't know the area and do not want to somehow get stuck. LA is very different than Miami as far as transportation. You have it we don't. Not knowing the neighborhoods and where it is safe is a big concern and it would not matter which big city I was in, I would have the same questions.

Thanks for the information.

Don't get too freaked out by the haters, and I say that as Giants fan who loves nothing better than beating the Dodgers. The tragedy of Bryan Stow who got seriously beat up several years ago is an anomaly and is NOT representative of fans here.

Dodger Stadium is a very nice venue - despite its age, the team has maintained it very well. In fact, you might like it for the contrast to the theme-park HOK type of retro parks that have been built in the last 20 years. Yeah, public transport isn't as simple as one would like, but once you're there, I think you'll enjoy it.

Don't forget about the Giants fan that killed a Dodger fan outside AT&T not long after the other incident.
