It is a great looking building. Hope new development can keep pushing east so those neighborhoods can be redeveloped.

I can't wait to stay in it...waiting patiently. It looks truly amazing. It is going to be an Intercontinental.

Great addition to the ever evolving DTLA skyline.

LA has the worst architecture so I can see why you're so excited.

The 60-80's were pretty terrible when it came to architecture.

But we do have alot of amazing old buildings from the 1900-1930's throughout the city.

I think you're selling it short. LA has amazing buildings from the 1880's-1960's pretty much scattered throughout. Mid century modern architecture gave birth to the DWP building downtown in '65 so there are still some great examples from that time period. The problem is, for every great piece of architecture in LA, there are 5 more examples of ugly, kitschy, or gaudy architecture.

Even in spite of that, you can find plentiful examples of beautiful craftsman, Victorian, mid-century mod, mission revival, Spanish colonial, Art Deco, streamline moderne and Googie architecture all over LA.
