Hi! Per everyone's opinions, I am interested in renting in Burbank or Glendale. I would like a 1 bed in a nice, safe area for around $1050. I have been told that I can afford this in Burbank/Glendale.

Are there any apartment services in LA that are free? Any that you can get online and just browse apartmenst. Here in Chicago, we have chicagoapartmentfinders.com, chicagoapartments.com.. anything like that in LA? Any suggestions are great.. i'm just anxious to make this major step and move to LA!

Don't respond if you're going to tell me not to move.

Westside Rentals is the leading apartment search company in Southern California They do charge a fee of $60 for 2 months; $70 for 2 months for dual members. Here the web site:
Apartment Rentals in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.

Apartment Hunters at California Apartment Hunters – Apartment & home rentals. Southern California, San Diego & San Francisco Bay Area – ApartmentHunterZ.com. This is the other apartment search company here it's $49.00 for 30 full days. Although I never use these services I hope that this helps.

Try Westside Rentals. Also, Free Los Angeles and Orange County Classifieds - Recycler. There are apartment magazines, but I can't remember the names.

I wouldn't pay $60. You can find an apartment on your own. Search the local newspapers, drive around the area you want to live in, craigslist is a good source ........... etc.

I concur - try craigs list, Multiple Listing Service Los Angeles Real Estate - TheMLS.com or the LA times website

Avoid westside rentals - lots of fake ads, and costs money. - I found it useless.

Just driving around can be very useful too.
