Nah the city is "cool"..you're just a boring square. It'll be the same anywhere you go with that attitude

You're in for a rude awakening, my young friend.
Not so sure about that. An awakening requires that you have the intelligence, maturity and self-awareness to be enlightened.

Do you not see the irony of the statement "Don't use my age against me old man."?

Also, I assure you that those of us with the wherewithal to engage in the many offerings of a major city like Los Angeles find it very "cool".

Actually this skater I know was an LA native too and he moved to NYC because he thought LA was bored and he's having quite some fun down there.

Physical location has very little to do with state of mind. If you're miserable here you'll be miserable in NYC or Florida or Colorado or Canada or South America. You can't escape your own mind

I agree 100%.
Plus I'd rather be skateboarding in a world famous beach front bowl packed with attractive people enjoying my 72 degrees weather and amazing sunshine than anywhere else but to each their own I guess

Actually I have a healthy state of mind. It's just LA is a dull city whereas NYC has something going on at all times.

I also found it very odd that a 17 year old is bored in L.A with so much opportunities, entertainment, attractions, outdoor activities and great weather, etc, etc

But each to their own...If he's bored in L.A then maybe he'll find greener pastures elsewhere.

Meanwhile, 17 year olds in other parts of the nation have tainted drinking water, little or no economic mobility, are stuck in doors for 6mo out of the year, don't have hill in sight, etc...

I'm sure there are 100 people whiling to take your spot.

You don't know what boring is Young Person. You live in a paradise. Go live in the midwest or east and you can compare.
