If they want to denote money to this the city council should donate their own money.
At $180,000 a year plus benefits they should be able to afford it .

Let's be honest this is an illegal alien fund .

Legal law abiding immigrants are not at risk of deportation .

The Los Angeles City Council approved a plan Friday to donate $2 million over the next two fiscal years to a nonprofit legal defense fund for immigrants facing deportation.

Today we will put forth our Justice Fund with a commitment of $2 million, the only city in the county and in the state that is offering up $2 million to defend immigrants, and this is the way that we believe is best to fight Donald Trump's attacks," Councilman Gil Cedillo said at a news conference before the vote where he recognized Immigrant Heritage Month.

Obviously they know the people won't vote them out so they feel they can do anything they want.
They know illegals vote for Democrats. They know that they have huge families and a large group of friends and relatives and they all as they associate with each other reinforce that they are for Democrats.
So they do anything and everything for Mexicans to keep them voting for them.

Every group in L.A. votes for Dems. If there was not a single illegal voting nothing would be different.

Oh, I think this is wonderful...

You know what else is wonderful? The realization that, indeed, public funds will be used in Los Angeles, and statewide for that matter, to defend the "rights" of immigrants who came or remain illegally. This is de facto preferential treatment--a de facto vote of confidence, in effect--of illegals over the millions of wonderful new Americans or permanent residents who came here, and continue to live here, legally. But, whatever, because "compassion."

Here's what else is wonderful: The ban of state-funded travel in place by our demonstrably morally superior California Attorney General, Xavier Becerra, to states like Kentucky, Texas, Mississippi, South Dakota, and Kansas for their supposed "discrimination" against the LGBTQIA (and whatever else is added to that term these days).

Even more wonderful-ness: The state's willingness to send Governor Brown to that bastion of civil and human rights across the Pacific, China, on a fuel hoggin' jet, to talk about California's and China's "climate change" laws and programs, and what more we can do together to bring about a more "environmentally-friendly" world in light of the U.S.' withdrawing from the practically superficial Paris Agreement. China, that China, the same China that sends us rubber ducks that are probably drenched in chemicals labeled as toxic by the EPA, and yet are given a blind eye by the U.S. Government because of "trade" and "commerce." The same China that continues to persecute and execute political dissenters to this day. The same China that is still a political and diplomatic ally of North Korea.

The biggest, "yugely" awesom-est of all? The state continues to fund Planned Parenthood. A demonstrable abortion mill. Because reproductive rights, family planning, yada yada yada... Human rights for the unborn, y'all...

Congratulations, California Liberal Democratic leadership: You have redefined the bounds, understanding, and tolerance of how human and civil rights can be defined around the world, and what you will accept as such. Congratulations.

And we thought Dems liked State's rights now...well, no, not really. They only like States to be sovereign when it is politically expedient for them.

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/03/o...-the-left.html

So California negotiates its our own pollution standards seperate from the Federal government, and engages, as a sovereign, a lying adversary of the United States. All of it in violation of the U.S. Constitution and yet no one bats an eye.

The problem with 1-party systems. Ran into the same sort of political insanity back in Seattle.

So this fund...I mean, it should infuriate me. But I'm looking at it from the context of what I just left, and think it's kind of child's play. It seems downright sane, comparatively.

Still...I mean, come on.

I just saw at the state level CA has committed to $50 million for illegals in the new budget.

California's $50 million for illegals could help Trump 2020
